Because we're often on the go, I made these simple clipboards for the girls from recycled cereal boxes. They can use them to do all their "work" in the car or while we wait at the dentist's office, or the car wash or the vet...
And when they're done drawing on a page, they can just stick it inside the folder.
To make a clipboard, you'll need a cereal box, scissors, double-sided tape, and a medium sized binder clip. Paper to decorate the edges makes them look cute.
Find the seam where the box is glued together, and carefully take it apart.
Lay the box out flat and cut off the flaps from the top and bottom.

Turn the box over, so you're looking at the picture, and use the double-sided tape to tape down the three edges of the smaller flap.
Then use the double-sided tape to tape down the top and bottom of the larger flap, leaving an opening on the longest side of this flap for a pocket. If you'd like, you can use paper to decorate the edges.
I cut 8 1/2 x 11 sheets of paper in half to clip onto their board.

Great idea! Always looking for portable ideas. You could tie a pen to the clip and then nothing can get misplaced on your adventures. Thanks for sharing.
