Hand-painted Gift Bags

The girls painted these gift bags with washable tempera paint and a water bottle .
I put red tempera paint on a wet sponge to serve as our "stamp pad."
After they made a bunch of big red circles I changed the paint to orange, and they turned the bottle over and started making smaller circles with the spout.
When the bags were dry, I used an exacto knife to cut out a small square. We taped patterned paper behind the square and used the cut-out square as a gift tag.
We didn't have any red tissue paper, but I love the contrasting blue tissue paper.
Happy gift-giving!
