Puffed Up Paint

This cool paint recipe from One Crafty Mumma puffs up like dough in the microwave. The girls loved it! Ingredients:
4 Tablespoons self-rising flour
4 Tablespoons salt
water
food coloring

Add water while mixing flour and salt together until paint is a thin paste.
Divide mixture into small cups.
Add different colors of food coloring to each cup and mix.

Use Q-tips to apply the paint to cardstock or thick paper.

Pop the finished project in the microwave for about 30 seconds. The paint gets puffy and hardens as it cools.

Hi!!

I just recently discovered your blog and LOVE all the fun ideas! Thank you so much for sharing. I look forward to trying many of them with my 2 boys!

Also--this is so random--but did you happen to go to Biola? I went there from 1995-1999 and can't help but feel like you look very familiar?

Anyways, thank you, again, for sharing all your clever ideas! I appreciate the joy you find in being a mom!

Do you think this would work in an oven or convection oven? I don't have a microwave but this looks fun!!

I'm happy to report that this did work in my oven, on convection setting. I heated the oven to 350 and put the papers in on cookie sheets for approximately 30 seconds. Yay!
