Blank Books

A blank book is full of possibilities. And my girls are full of doodles and letters to write down. So, I guess that makes them a perfect match!
I cut 8 1/2 x 11 inch sheets of computer paper in half vertically. Then I put two strips together, folded them in half and stapled them along the fold. Then I glued a strip of pretty paper along the spine to make them look, well, pretty.
Let the writing and illustrating begin.

Making blank books are great! The uses are endless...writing, drawing, coloring, stickers....

If you have a longish type stapler you can staple the staples in the binding..with the long edge of the staple on the binding. This will help to open the booklets better...flatter. Hopefully that makes sense.

I like taking the decorative paper along the binding...never came into my mind to do such a simple yet pretty thing. Oh...you could use cardstock as the cover to help give the booklet a bit more stability.

I love this idea, so simple, but it will create hours of fun for my littles, and then a completed memory to hold in my hands. Thanks!

GREAT idea! My oldest LOVES to make her own books (she's 5). I bet she'd love it if she had one already made and she could draw, color and write to her heart's content. :)
