Pumpkin Garland

We are still glowing from our pumpkin patch experience, so we decided to make these quirky little paper bag pumpkins this morning.
I opened a brown lunch bag and poked the four bottom corners inside to give the bottom of the bag a more roundish appearance. Then I crumpled up four sheets of paper from the recycle bin to stuff each of the bags. I twisted the top of the bag and wound a brown pipe cleaner around it.

We mixed yellow and red paint to make orange and the girls got to work.
Painting pumpkins is very serious business.
I strung the pumpkins together with green pipe cleaners and draped them over the fire place.

Ta da! Pumpkin garland.

What a wonderful idea! I love it. It is such a simple thing for the kids to do. I love your site so much. You are an inspiration. We made your pumpkin spice muffins today at my Brownie meeting. Let me tell you it was a hit. They went so fast.

How adorable! I chuckled at your "very serious business" comment. I've noticed that too about my toddler with so many things.
