Q-tip Christmas snowflake sculptures

The girls absolutely LOVED this project. Puddles of glue and oodles of glitter. What could be more fun?
Materials:
waxed paper
q-tips
glue
glitter
fishing line to hang

Directions:
1. Lay out the waxed paper and arrange the q-tips in a snowflake design. We used 6 or 8 q-tips radiating from a center point, and then continued to build from there.
2. Make sure the cotton tips of the q-tips are touching on each joint. Pour a puddle of glue onto each of the joints. Don't hold back.
3. Sprinkle glitter onto the wet glue puddles.
4. Let dry completely. Ours took about 2 days to dry.
5. Carefully peel the snowflakes from the waxed paper one glue glob at a time.
6. Suspend the glittering snowflakes from fishing line.
7. Enjoy your winter wonderland!

I did a similar project with my students (minus the glitter). They loved it too! So cute and fun.

You seriously come up with the best stuff. I wonder how they would look if you glittered the whole thing? I am going to have to try it.
