Pine Cone Flower Present Topper

Isn't this pretty? I saw an ornament similar to it, so I thought I'd try to make one.
Materials:
pine cone scales
***I just peeled a few off the bottom of a large pine cone. They came off easily.
small square of felt
two buttons
hot glue gun
I glued the scales in a circular pattern around the felt. I layered the smaller scales on top. Then I hot glued two buttons in the center.
I bought this holiday garland from Joann's, because I thought it would be so pretty on gifts. I hot glued the pine cone flower to the felt garland.
Such a pretty gift!

It's beautiful, only I thought it was made out of chocolate & peppermint candy at first glance (hmm...I must be craving chocolate)!

Hugs & BLessings!

That is really pretty, very rustic too and would go lovely with our brown Kraft paper wrapped gifts this year. Not to mention my house is built on what used to be a pine tree farm so I've got LOADS of pine cones at my disposal.

That is SO pretty! Your next project needs to be a 'simple crafts with your kids' book.
It would sell like hot-cakes!
