This is our dear friend, Jason, reading one of our favorite books, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, to the girls before bed.
First of all, the illustrations - just beautiful. Classic Eric Carle-style collage using painted and cut pieces of paper.
Carle cleverly uses the days of the week, simple counting, and an array of eats to tell the story of a caterpillar transforming into a butterfly. The strong pattern and simple story are perfect for beginning readers. And the sweet narrative is just silly and fun for everyone.

My friend, Jeanne, at http://bubsiesboutique.blogspot.com/ makes the Very Hungry Caterpillar onesies or T-shirts. They are absolutely adorable!!! What a cute gift... the book and a shirt!
Love that book! :) It's also great in Spanish... my husband reads it in his best high school Spanish accent! Awesome!
Will there be egg carton caterpillars in the future??
Also, thanks for the reading list on Foster-Adopt... I'm excited to order a couple from Amazon!
