I was so excited when I found these mini magnetic file folders at Target on clearance. I decided to use them to try out a new system for the girls' daily chores.
Here's how it works:
- Each girl has their own mini-file folder stuck to the fridge.
- I used double stick tape to tape a paper flag around the top of a clothespin.
- I wrote a different job on each flag and slid the clothespins over the front edge of the file folder.
- When the girls' have finished a chore we move that clothespin from the edge of the folder to the inside of the pocket.
- We rotate the different jobs between the girls once a week.

What a great idea. I have been trying to come up with something cute for helping my girls remember their chores. Thanks.

I was just glancing this morning and saw this! I HAVE those magnets AND just last week bought 100 clothespins for a project that my daughter was doing....NOW this is BRILLIANT!

Cute Idea. I'll be intereste to see how it works over time.
I struggle with chore assignments and moreso, the follow through for making each child do their items(s). I just can't stand the whining and grumping and such and end up doing it myself. I know this ins't teaching my kids ANYTHING good!
Thanks for the idea!
