I Love You, Stinky Face by Lisa McCourt

The girls thought the title of this book was funny, and the sweet story made them giggle and smile. A boy asks his mother if she would still love him if he were a:

  • stinky skunk
  • swamp monster
  • meat-eating dinosaur
  • terrible ape
Each time his mother lovingly reassures him that, no matter what, she will always love and care for him.

Simply darling and just fun. Another of our favorites.

I love this book and so do my kids. It's such a great reassurance for our kids in a playful way. It creates a safe conversation about who they can count on. Cute pics, too!

This is our families favorite book. We have read it over and over and over. My middle child even read it to her 1st grade class one day. They all loved it too. Another great one we love as a family is I Love You Through and Through by Bernadette Rossetti-Shustak.

I will definitely have to find this book. My five year old has been asking me if I still love him on a daily basis, as he's trying to grasp the concept that I still love him, even when he messes up. I can't wait to find it at the store!
