I made this simple and silly game to help the girls learn to recognize their numbers through 25.
Each player draws a card on their turn and reads the number. If they draw a monkey card they have to act like a monkey (see 4th picture above!) We've also played that if a monkey card is drawn, everybody acts like a monkey.
If your kids are younger, you could play with only #1-10.
It makes us laugh, and it's very effective!

Great idea! I was just about to make them a flash card flip book with the numbers and I LOVE this idea too!
PS - I just used your "Phone Number Song" trick - and my 3 1/2 twin daughters know their own numbers. I am going to work on 9-1-1 tomorrow! Thanks for the great tips!!!
I printed this up, spray glued it to a cereal box ready for recycling, and cut it out. We played it today. Jack (age 4) and I got the toy lemurs out, and let them "play" the game, I think it was fun and helpful. Thanks for sharing!

Printed, colored and then laminated them. They are a hit. My 2.5 year old loves them - we just do 1-10. Even my 1 year wanted to turn over cards.
