Street Signs Scavenger Hunt

We've been on the look out for all sorts of different street signs. Did you know they're everywhere?
It all started when we checked out I Read Symobls by Tana Hoban from the library {picture above.} We looked at the book and talked about the different signs and their meanings.

I didn't expect the girls to get so excited when they started noticing some of the different signs around town. There was so much commotion I had to remind myself to keep my eyes on the road.

"Well, Officer, I was so distracted by all the road signs I guess I just didn't notice the red light..."

Yeah, not good.

Anyway, I made the girls a little sign scavenger hunt game to work on while I attempt to drive. Here's the download if you want to give it a go.

Another great idea! You never cease to amaze me!!

This is a fun one. Think the boys will like it and I might even enlist the teenager to take pix of road signs in town - so she is included too.

Thanks again!

Thanks, we live in a large metro area and trips of a few miles can take a long time (the 13 mile drive home from the aquarium Monday took and hour from parking deck to driveway) and at least a couple of us are completely tired of listening to Junie B. Jones Has a Monster Under Her Bed.

Just thought I'd let you know that you now have to pay to download this from Scribd. It's in the 'archives' and I would need a membership to download it.
