We've been on a strawberry kick - strawberry banana smoothies, homemade strawberry jam, and now...strawberries dipped in chocolate.
Dangerously delicious.
Ingredients:
12 oz bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 Tbsp + 1 tsp oil
fresh strawberries
- Wash and gently dry strawberries.
- Heat chocolate chips with oil. Use a double boiler to avoid scorching.
- Hold each strawberry by the green leaves and carefully dip into the melted chocolate.
- Lay dipped strawberries a sheet of waxed paper. (Place a platter or cookie sheet under the waxed paper for easier transfer.
- Put chocolate-covered strawberries in the fridge to set the chocolate.

Two of my favorite things - chocolate and strawberries. Those look so good. I have actually been craving strawberries lately. This isn't helping any. :-)
my 7 yr old josie would like to come over! :-) these are her favorite.
I love making chocolate covered strawberries. I've never used oil though. Makes me want to go out and find some sweet strawberries!

Those look soooo good! Mmmm. Strawberries are always good. Might need to make a makeshift double boiler and get some for myself. Good thing Ralphs has buy one container of strawberries get one free this week!
We made these around Valentine's Day with discounted chocolate from after-Christmas sales.

My daughter had a great time helping me, and after seeing them again I'm going to have to make some more very soon!! Yummmm!
Want you to know...I laid out the strawberries...I washed the strawberries...and at some point while they were drying, 3/4 of the strawberries were consumed by 3/5 of our family.
Oh well - guess we'll get more!

Yummy! This seems a lot easier than I ever thought! I might have to try it.
Yummy! We do these alot but we microwave the chocolate a little at a time until it is melted (microwave 45 sec.~stir~45 sec.~stir) That way the kiddo's can help and you don't have to own a double boiler!
Maybe I'll make some this afternoon......
I saw your recipe link on someone else's blog, and I'm glad I stopped by. Thanks for the recipe!
