Blueberries for Sal by Robert McCloskey

A mother and daughter take a quiet stroll on a summer day, juicy blueberries are plucked and kuplinked into a metal pail, a curious baby bear cub wanders around over the hill...this sweet story has all the right ingredients.

A classic, just perfect for reading aloud.

My daughter just got this book yesterday for her birthday. It's a great one!

My oldest two children loved this book from the library so much that I had to buy it for them. My youngest loves it just as much. I remember having it read to me when I was young. Classic. You really have to make blueberry cobbler after reading it or at least sprinkle blueberries on ice cream!!

(By the way, my oldest two are 20 and 17. My daughter got married on May 16 and my son is graduating from high school this weekend!)

We love this one! Try "The Little House" and "Mike Mulligan and the Steam Shovel" by Virginia Burton. We love these classics too!
