Phonics Game - Three Letter Words

We're working on sounding out words with three letters and a short vowel in the middle. We made up this game to go along with our learning in Phonics Pathways. It mixes things up a bit and makes us laugh.

And their reading is coming along. Pretty soon Matt and I won't be able to s-p-e-l-l out parts of our conversations to hide
top secret information from the girls.

This is so cute, thanks so much for sharing. I'll be linking. We used to spell words out to keep our dog from getting excited. Now she knows w-a-l-k and c-a-r, lol.

we are dangerously close to being able to spell things (so the kids don't understand). maybe we should start taking french lessons???

We started spelling backwards, if you can believe that! It slowed us down, but our almost 10 year old still can't figure out what we are doing! LOL!!!

I remember when we couldn't spell secrets anymore and the wide eyes we had as our middle child figured out words WAY too soon!

What a fun game! Thanks for sharing and good luck with the 3 letter words!
