{in no particular order}
- New Mexico has the most beautiful, vast blue skies with the fluffiest white clouds. I could do some really good thinking under those blue skies.
- Driving through tiny towns with mostly abandoned buildings along the I-40 was completely intriguing. I wanted to pull over at each one, chat it up with the people who live there, explore the empty buildings and capture it all on my Nikon.
- The ubiquitous Sonic drive-thru was greatly appreciated. Ohhh... lovin' that watermelon slush. And the cherry limeade, too.
- Hitting Roswell on the same weekend as the UFO festival was delightfully entertaining. Those folks are hard core serious about their aliens.
- Sponge Bob has a hypnotically calming affect on our girls. Life-saving during those pre-meal driving hours.
- Being with family is the absolute best. Thanks to Robin, Bertie's clan, and the Plano Flamings for taking such good care of us.
- The phrase "Home Sweet Home" has never rung so very, very true.
