Chocolatey Cake Mix Cookies

I adjusted a recipe I found in this cookbook, to make these simple & simply delicious cookies for my girlfriends a couple weeks ago. They were a hit!

1 box chocolate cake mix
2 eggs
1/3 cup vegetable oil
semi-sweet chocolate chips - 1 cup more or less

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
Mix up the first three ingredients, and then stir in the chocolate chips.
Drop the dough in small palls onto a greased cookie sheet.
Bake 10-12 minutes.

Enjoy.

You can sub the oil with cool whip! And you can roll them in powdered sugar before baking! Thats how I always do cake batter cookies! Yum yum.

I've been making these for a couple years and my husband LOVES them! I make them for his work and for holiday parties and use the holiday colored m&m's instead of chocolate chips to make them look festive. :) ..they're also good w/Andes mints, heath bar chips, etc.!!!

Hi Chrissie,

I just found you through blog hopping. I would like to post about your three-letter word game on my learning activity blog. I didn't see an e-mail on your site, but please e-mail me and let me know if this would be alright. Thanks so much,

These look fabulous. I too think I may have all that in the pantry. I've been checking your blog from time to time, but this is my first comment. Your kiddos are beautiful!

I attend a cookie exchange party every year. Not only was this recipe super easy (which is especially important when you're making 60 cookies!), but they were delicious! I made mine with white chocolate chips-yum! Thank you so much for sharing it!

I've been making these since 1986 ... ok, I'm old.

I've used every flavor cake mix available - the Spice cake with apples added and strawberry with nuts were both huge hits. Carrot cake with shredded carrots and pecans. So fast, so easy, and so good. And sometimes, I even admit what the recipe was!

I made these the other night for my Mom and sisters, and they were so good I had to blog about them (linking back to your post, of course). Hope you don't mind. Thank you!

Just wanted to tell you that this is a great looking cookie and I bet it tastes even better. I have to try this over christmas break. Also wanted to let you know that my husband has made a website for math games for kids age 5 and up and it is completely free if you would check it out.

I've used the spice cake mix and then a cream cheese frosting. Sometimes for the kids I'll do the funfetti cake mix and frost the cookies and add colored sprinkles for whatever season/holiday.
