A couple years ago I asked for this Bingo Game Set for my birthday. People scoffed. But I understood. They just didn't realize that Bingo is the coolest. And, here's why:
* It's simple. Ages 2-103 can join in a game of Bingo. This year, the cage spinner was my two-year-old niece. The rules are simple. Listen for a number. Check if it's on your card. Try to get five in a row.
*It's educational. Perfect for my girls who are learning to identify numbers 1 to 100.
*Everyone plays. 32 people can play at the same time. That's about the size of most of our family gatherings.
*It involves chocolate. Winners were given a full-size candy bar. The five- and seven-year-olds insisted we keep playing until everyone won a candy bar.
*It's chill. People can still talk and laugh, and no one has to draw, act, sculpt, sing, hum, dance or spell backwards. (Although I love those types of games, too.)

I think its' great that there is a game that brings so much joy to so many people in your family, and who wouldn't want to win a whole chocolate bar?

Growing up our family tradition on New Year's Day was to get the whole dang family together for Bingo. Everyone would bring 4 or 5 little prized wrapped up of course with a clue on the tag as to the contents. All gifts were placed under the christmas tree, and then we played until all the gifts were gone. We were fair and would make sure that every got at their fair share of gifts. it was a splendid tradition, one which I miss and would love to start again. The best part of all was when Bingo was all done, we would negotioate and trade to get the prizes we really wanted.
I love Bingo!
I totally agree. A few years ago before my husbands Grandmother passed, we visited her and it was the one thing she truly loved to do. I convinced the whole family to play and she had the best time. She was 80+ years old and she had a 3 your old great-granddaughter playing with her. Until she passed she spoke of it as one of her favorite gatherings!
I heart bingo for all those reasons! And for the fact you can play it on a cruise ship and little old ladies win and they love it! So fun!!
okay, okay you are convincing me! wish we could have been there!

Awesome! I want to borrow it!
I totally agree. I told my husband that next year we're playing Bingo at the office Christmas party. No more of yucky white elephant gifts, we're playing Bingo until everyone wins an awesome prize!
I love it! What great family fun!
