Peanut Butter and Jelly x 20

I made about 20 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, cut them with a large circle cookie cutter and froze them in large freezer bags separated by wax paper. I got the idea from the Smuckers Uncrustables product, but I like using my own whole grain bread, low sugar jam, and natural peanut butter. And it's cheaper to do it myself.

It didn't take much longer than making just two sandwiches, and it has been so convenient to pull them out and pop them in the microwave for a few seconds for a kiddo's healthy snack or lunch.

What a fabulous idea. Those things are so expensive.

Great idea to freeze them in bulk! I even have a circle cutter/sealer from Pampered chef... you might want to invest in one for the sweet little crimped edge! :) I never thought to make a bunch and freeze them. It would really help the after pre-school lunch rush! Thanks!

I just got a pampered chef cut-and-seal that I am in love with right now and was thinking about making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to freeze like uncrustables. Now I definitely have to do it :0)

I have the PC cutter, too, and I heard that if you coat both sides of the bread with peanut butter and put the jelly in the middle, when they thaw you don't get soggy, leaky bread. : )

I can't believe I didn't think of this! I bought an extra loaf of bread today and plan to fill a freezer bag with these today or tomorrow.

Love this... but, ummm what do you do with all the leftovers from cutting the circles?

Oh, and we will be making a bread crumb garland for the birds out of the scraps...

What an amazing thing to do with PB and J! Thanks for the idea. Do you know where else other than pampered chef I can find a cut and seal? I'd love to try this out tomorrow and I really don't want to wait for a PC consultant to order me one. Thanks, lady!

This is one great idea! I am totally linking you up over at our place... you got me going on some pb&j inspiration! Lunch menus need some spicing up around our place.

... and I just used a plain old plastic cookie cutter to get those cute, crimped edges. :)

I totally do this too. Although I use a Pampered Chef Cut and Seal. I have two sizes and I use one for Pb&J's and the others for turkey and cheese. Those don't freeze so well... but the PB&J's we always have in the fridge for a quick lunch out if we need it. :)
