There Was An Old Man With A Beard

There was an Old Man with a beard,
Who said, "It is just as I feared! -
Two owls and a hen,
Four larks and a wren,
Have all built their nests in my beard!"

by Edward Lear

We made these silly bearded men to go with this limerick we are memorizing this week.
It was very free form - scissors, paper, glue, markers, and a couple stickers.

Didn't they turn out funky and cute?

Cute activity and limerick! It reminded me of a little song that I sing w/ my girls- Michael Finnegan.

There was an old man named Michael Finnegan,
He grew whiskers on his chin-na-gin.
The wind blew them off, but they grew in-a-gin.
Poor old Michael Finnegin, begin-a-gin.
