Hi...I also read your blog. I was wondering...are you a professional photographer? Seriously...your pics are so wonderful! What kind of camera do you use? I would like to be able to take great pics of my kids...but I don't even know where to begin, lol! Thanks!
Thanks so much for the sweet comments. I am a very novice photographer and am learning as I go. I use a Nikon D40, which takes amazing pictures. I mostly use the automatic settings. After I take the pics, I use picnik.com to crop them, change the exposure, and add effects. My favorite effects are cross-process and boost. I only use about 5% boost, but it makes a big impact on the colors. Picnik.com is free for the basic package. It's great. Have fun! xo
Thanks for answering my questions! If you truly are a novice...you MUST be a natural! God has truly gifted you! I will have to check out picnik...and that camera...thanks again for the tips!

You (and your sister, Lisa!) have a great eye for photography and get some gorgeous shots! Your pics are so lovely to look at. Thanks for posting them!
Teaching and art are two of my greatest passions. I have an MA in Class Instruction from Biola University, and I have dabbled in many types of art: drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, sewing, and mosaics. Teaching art classes to kids brings together two of my favorite things.

Beautiful girls! They are growing up so fast!
Hi. I don't comment on your blog but I do read your posts. I want to say that collage of photos is wonderful. How did you do that for your post?
