We spent our day off with family in Long Beach. The girls have been begging to go on a boat, so as we strolled along the marina, we spontaneously decided to buy tickets for a 45 minute harbor cruise.
They were beside themselves with delight - the cool breeze, shore birds, sea lions. They commented on how it felt like being in a dream, and how they had no idea there was so much water in the ocean.
Don't you just love experiencing the joys of life through a child's eyes?

Lovely pictures. I took my twin daughters to a safari park for their last day of holidays and a zebra put it's head into the car! My daughter's favourite animal is a zebra and the sheer delight and absolute joy on their faces is still making my heart sing 3 days later!! My other daughter loves crocodiles and we all just stood and laughed and laughed as one kept opening it's mouth and snapping it shut. I so agree with your sentiments!
