We've got three little fledgling mockingbirds hopping around our yard. They are just so irresistible!
The mother is very protective of them. She keeps flying right at my head whenever I try to leave the yard. It's a little unsettling, but we're glad she's so fiercely committed to her babies.
We've been watching from our kitchen window while she brings them food and fights off other birds. Amazing.

Baby birds... they're so ugly in some ways, and yet totally adorable.
